Motorcycle Rides
Monroe County and the surrounding region deliver some of the most scenic drives in America.
Hidden in the southeast corner of Ohio, just north of Wayne National Forest, you'll find a fantastic ride through the deep woods. The Ohio Cousin Of The "Tail Of The Dragon", the #2 rated route in Ohio. Pics wouldn't even be able to really describe it. From steep hills, to valleys ... the view is superb! Start by getting yourself to Hannibal, OH. From their just take Ohio Rt 536 east to the end point of Ohio Rt 78. there are no towns between Hannibal and 78.

State Route 7, the Ohio River Scenic Byway. Twisting and turning along the Ohio River. Take the State Route 26 Wayne National Forest historic covered bridge tour.

Little Switzerland, Ohio Route 147. This covers all the best topography of Southern Ohio in just 60 miles. It starts slowly from the mighty Ohio River, winding through small villages. Soon, like the first hill on a good roller coaster, the ascent begins. Then you ride along the crests across little Switzerland coal country, and finally on down through a series of small towns, across picturesque Senecaville Lake.

Ohio Route 556. Another roller coaster, plenty of elevation changes, a wide variety of turns and good pavement makes for one enjoyable ride. 556 is connected to 536 on the east by route 7 and on the west by route 26,making one of the best loops a curve hunting ride could find.

Monroe County and the surrounding region also offer some great rides for Adventure Motorcycle and Dual Sport riders.
There are a couple routes near Lamping Homestead, and the is a great area at Lamping Homestead for camping.

Lamping Homestead Route #1
Some untested. Many stream crossings. Section of stream bed. Not for wet weather/high water periods. Mostly gravel.

Tested and approved! Ridge top riding with great Spring/Fall views. 40% gravel overall. Two miles of four wheeler road.
