Buckchitawa Park

The Monroe County Park District recently announced some big plans it has for the future, including development of a new recreational area on Sunfish Creek.  The Park District has worked hard to invest in projects that improve physical and mental health in the area for years. Those efforts are continuing as the Park District recently acquired 26 acres on Sunfish Creek. This new park is located on one of the most beautiful sections of Sunfish Creek.  According to the Park District, the area will be transformed over the next few years into a “unique place of natural solitude.”
